LEFT RUNNING

Proof

Every number on this page is a reading from a named instrument on a named date. There are no projections here, and no claim about what your business would earn. Where the picture is unflattering, it is written down anyway — that is the point of the page.

The portfolio it runs

Left Running is the system that already operates one person's portfolio of websites. Those sites are ordinary content and reference sites: they answer a question, and some of them carry affiliate links.

83domains tracked in the operator's own metrics layer
1person running them, with no staff

Instrument: the fleet metrics feed at fleet.promptprio.com, captured 2026-09-05 16:30 UTC. “Tracked” means measured, not that all 83 are earning — six are (below).

Search: people arriving

4,733Google organic clicks, 30 days, across 32 sites
374,887Google impressions over the same window
4,490Bing organic clicks, 28-day window

Instrument: Google Search Console (30-day window) and Bing Webmaster Tools (28 days — Bing reports a shorter window, so the Bing figure is a slight undercount), read 2026-09-05. Search-console clicks are used here deliberately instead of “visitors”: analytics visitor counts on several of these sites are heavily inflated by crawlers, so a click recorded by the search engine is the more honest human number.

Revenue: what it actually earned

Instrument: Amazon Associates per-tag report, window 6 August – 4 September 2026, pulled 2026-09-04.

Read that honestly

  • It is a small number. $384 in a month, across a portfolio of 83 domains, is a side business — not a living. We are showing it because it is true, and because it is growing, not because it is impressive.
  • It is concentrated. One site is 55% of it. Most of the 83 domains earn nothing at all.
  • The bounty is not attributable. Amazon reports sign-up bounties at account level with no site breakdown, so the $35.25 is parked against the largest book site by convention. It is not evidence that site produced it.
  • Orders, not clicks. 278 affiliate orders were placed in that window. We quote orders and commission rather than click counts, because clicks are the number that flatters.

AI visibility

The portfolio is cited heavily by AI answer engines — and that has so far converted into very little traffic. Both halves belong on the page.

161,764Copilot groundings in 30 days, across 45 sites
~1,189human sessions those groundings actually referred

Instruments: Bing Webmaster Tools “AI Performance”, measured 2026-08-26; referred sessions from Google Analytics 4's AI-assistant channel, 30 days, read 2026-09-02. That is a referral rate around 0.7% overall and 0.2% at the median site — on all but one site, being cited by an AI is currently close to worthless. We keep measuring it because the channel is young, not because it is paying.
